About the role:

Simpplr is looking for a senior product owner who excels in user-centric product development to help drive the strategic direction and delivery roadmap for our application. This is a great opportunity to join a team responsible for a product that is defining the way companies engage and connect with their employees.

The agile product owner is the point person on the product development team, using their high-level perspective to define goals and create a vision for development projects.

Product owners are responsible for communicating with stakeholders across the board, including product managers, CS, Support, and the development team to make sure the goals are clear and the vision is aligned with business objectives.

This individual will be dedicated to the agile work team to interface between the operations team and the delivery of new technology and code. The role is responsible to be constantly thinking through the processes and needs of the business to support an efficient and error-free process for the member and provider. The product owner represents the business team in prioritizing the features for development, approving user stories, and ensuring clear communication flows back and forth. The individual will help shape and execute the product strategy that meets the department goals, engage in business case development, and ensure adherence to the agile scrum process.

What you'll do:

  • Enable the delivery of product backlog by presenting backlog to the team.
  • Creating, owning, and refining well-formed user stories and artifacts that describe and detail new products, features, and services based on feedback from the team
  • Creating acceptance criteria with the team, and accepting stories as they’re completed.
  • Be responsible for the end-to-end launch of products, while working with the product managers.
  • Contribute to the maturity, performance, and growth of the Agile team.
  • Work daily with scrum teams to refine, groom, and accept stories and bugs for implementation.
  • Work with QA to create UAT test cases, organize and facilitate UAT testing, track test results, and work with the scrum master and agile team to resolve issues.
  • Collaborates with product managers, CS, Sales, and support to co-develop a roadmap and drive products and features from concept to launch in a fast-paced environment.
  • Works with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders, including analytics, design/user experience, and engineering.
  • Works in an Agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, refine priorities, and identifies opportunities and risks.
  • Partners with stakeholders and customers across the organization to inform the product vision and features.
  • Translates product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
  • Prioritizes and maintains the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders.
  • Represent the product goals, roadmap, and vision with the technical teams, including participation and execution of agile ceremonies.
  • Ability to align and motivate a team to achieve objectives.
  • Supports and solicits input from team members at all levels within the organization.

What you did?

  • +5 years experience in product management as a product owner.
  • Experience and track record of success directing the efforts of developers as a product owner in a deadline-driven and fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment as a product owner.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of agile Scrum methodology.
  • Demonstrated success defining and shipping amazing products in an iterative manner, with a hands-on willingness to do whatever it takes from an execution perspective.
  • Hands-on experience in leading process improvement initiatives.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment, successfully handle ambiguity, and have experience working with the agile development methodology.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelors degree (or higher), in computer Science or related field.

  • Excellent oral and verbal communicator, feeling comfortable conversing with engineering as much as with business users and c-level executives
  • Have the ability to dive deep into the details and clear and well-articulated requirements as well as the contextual background
